Our 24 hour Emergency callout Service

Emergency Callout

We provide a comprehensive 24 hour emergency electrician service with no additional call out charges. Our rates are straightforward; we simply charge a fixed half hourly rate, which you will be informed of, and agree to, before we send our electrician to your location. There are no hidden extras or nasty surprises, ensuring transparency in our pricing.  


Operating 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, our emergency electrician service can typically reach you within 2-3 hours. If it’s going to take slightly longer, the  electrician will inform you when you call. Payment is collected at the end of the visit, either by cash or debit/credit card. What's more, if you're paying by card, we don't take any details upfront; everything is processed upon completion of the visit.

    Paul came out a couple days ago and diagnosed my kitchen light was kaput. He returned today with his replacement recommendation and I couldn’t be more pleased; its much brighter than my old one and being LED there’s no bulbs to replace.     I contacted ElectriciansOnCall as my kitchen light had stopped working. I knew it was one of the old-fashioned types and I wasn’t really surprised when the electrician confirmed it had finally died. He very kindly offered me a quotation to replace it with a new LED type light fitting. This would be maintenance free and I meant I wouldn’t have to try and climb up anymore changing light bulbs. I found the service super as they were with me very quickly. He is returning on Thursday to install my new light and I was delighted with the service I received.

    I have a rented property in Whitstable and it’s important for both me and my tenants that I have an EICR carried out every 5 years.     This is the second time Paul has come to me. The first time was last week when I had him carry out an EICR on my new flat. I was astonished that a previous electrician had left the wiring in such a state. Paul came today and completely sorted it all out for me.     We contacted ElectriciansOnCall as they were local to where we live in Sturry. We had several issues we needed sorting out. The bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working; the cabinet lights in the kitchen were also not working and when I switched on the garden lights it tripped the entire house out. Paul arrived on time, (In fact he was 15 minutes early), he checked and tested out each problem and was very professional. He managed to get the extractor fan working again. The kitchen under cabinet lights were installed by a monkey and when Paul showed me how they had been wired, I was shocked. He couldn’t get them working safely, so I asked him to disconnect them. He managed to get the majority of the garden lights working again and we’re going to have him replace the 3 he had to disconnect. I was very impressed with the service and not only will I be using this company from now on, I have told all my neighbours about my wonderful experience.

    I contacted ElectriciansOnCall, shortly after moving into my new flat. As it was a managed flat, I assumed everything would be OK. It turns out the chap I had install panel heaters some weeks ago completely messed up the wiring in the fusebox. This has now left me with more work to do so its safe. Thank God I contacted Paul at ElectriciansOnCall when I did. Great work and would thoroughly recommend.

    I contacted ElectriciansOnCall as my smoke alarm kept chirping. I changed the battery but it was still chirping and driving me insane. The electrician came out within 2 hours and checked all my alarms. It seemed 3 out of the 5 I have fitted in my house have passed their expiry date and need replacement. I was shocked as I didn’t realise that each alarm needs complete replacement every 10 years. He explained everything very clearly and I have arranged for him to return to replace the expired ones. Top class job and very helpful.

    We have recently moved into this property and had meant to have the electrics checked prior to moving in but never got round to it. I contacted ElectriciansOnCall, a local company, to come and carry out an EICR. The electrician was on time and carried out the inspection with a minimum of fuss. He was extremely thorough and I'm glad to say, barring some small recommendations, our electrics are safe. An excellent experience. I'm very happy to recommend this company to others.

    Our smoke alarms wouldn't stop chirping, I had tried replacing the battery but it still continued. I contacted ElectriciansOnCall as they a local company and advertised themselves as being very reliable. They attended almost immediately and diagnosed that both the smoke alarms had come to the end of their life. They should have been replaced in 2015. Paul came today and replaced them with ones  that has a lithium battery back up. That way I don't have to replace the battery every few years. He was extremely tidy and explained how to keep them clean and how to test them. We were very pleased with the service and have actually booked him to come back and do another job for us.

    I was very happy with the job carried out by ElectriciansOnCall. Paul came and installed a new fan in our bedroom. We thought we would struggle to get someone as we had bought the fan ourselves.     COMBAT STRESS

     

    The founders of Combat Stress saw how thousands of servicemen from the First World War with severe mental health problems received little or no sympathy. Many men were suffering from shell-shock and were sent to mental war hospitals.

    Combat Stress changed attitudes to mental health. The charity's founders believed that veterans could be helped to cope with their mental health problems through a rehabilitation programme. In 1919 Combat Stress started occupational therapy including basket weaving. Occupational therapy is still offered today at their treatment centres and in the community teams.

    They continue to support former servicemen and women from every service and every conflict, on the phone, online, in the community and at their treatment centres across the UK.

    We offer a wide range of electrical services including installation, repair, and maintenance of wiring, lighting, and electrical installations. We cover both domestic and commercial work and are fully approved to carry out fire alarm or emergency lighting installation, servicing or repair.


    Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency callout for any electrical issues that require immediate attention.


    For fault finding we charge a fixed half hourly rate. Callout rates start at just £75 plus VAT. The charge rate is clearly explained when you call. This rate can change depending on the time of day you would like us to attend, but is always quoted first, and agreed by you prior to us sending an electrician to you. There are no additional callout fees or hidden extras..


    Yes, we are fully licensed and insured to provide electrical services in this area.


    Yes, we carry out EICR's for landlords, letting and estate agents as well as home buyers and sellers. The cost for carrying out an EICR starts at just £180 plus VAT.


    Each property can be completely different. It doesn't matter what size property it is, it matters how many circuits there are in that property. This is directly linked to how long, and therefore what cost an EICR would be.  Our prices for carrying out an EICR start at £180 plus VAT, this would be for the inspection, testing and a complete report, including pictures for up to 6 circuits. Any additional circuits are charged at £30 each plus VAT.


    Standard installation work like this is charged at £90 per hour plus VAT. If you need a job doing that requires more than 1 hour's labour, this is always quoted for and a written quotation is always issued.


    Yes, the delivery and installation teams receive very limited training on extremely straightforward jobs. If your job requires something changing or something is missing from the part of the installation they need to connect to, they are not able to do this. Call us and we can arrange the installation quickly and professionally. 


    Yes of course. We specialise in fault finding using the latest diagnostic equipment. All our electricians have years of experience and we identify over 95% of all faults we attend. We will always look to have you up and running again however, on some occasions a further visit or replacement parts are required. If this is the case, you will be offered a written quotation for any recommended remedial work. 


    Yes, most outside security lights rely on a small sensor located either as part of the light fitting itself or, installed separately. We will identify which part is faulty and offer you options thereafter.


    Yes, some LED bulbs are not compatible with some dimmers or switches. We can identify which part is causing the issue and offer you options to make the lights work as they should.


    You can pay via cash or, any credit or debit card. Each electrician carries a mobile card machine to guarantee your card details remain safe.


    All work we carry out is payment on completion. Regardless of whether the work is pre booked or, an emergency. You will be presented with your invoice on the completion of the visit and payment is taken immediately.


    No. If you call us and you request the visit, the responsibility to pay the invoice is yours. We will issue you with a written invoice on completion of the visit. You can give this to the landlord and have them recompense you. The only exception to this would be if your landlord contacts us themselves. In this case, we would be taking instruction direct from your landlord and would arrange for payment to be made over the phone on completion of the visit.


    We're happy to advise you on the most suitable security light while carrying out your free quotation visit. You can then choose whether you wish us to supply and install or, you can purchase this item yourself. Please remember though that any materials supplied by you will not be included in any warranty we issue for the work.


    Yes, the majority of our work includes lots of small jobs. It is worth bearing in mind that it is almost always cheaper to have a number of small jobs completed in a single visit, rather than spreading them out. Just make a list and give us a call.


    Yes. We arrange an initial visit to discuss your requirements. This includes taking the number of sockets and lights you would like in each room, as well as switching arrangements etc. To speed this part of the process up, we advise you make a list of your requirements for each room of the property prior to us attending. Give each room a name, this way when discussing a particular room within your property, there is no confusion. These details allow us to raise a quotation for the work. If this quotation is accepted, a full job specification is then produced and agreed by all parties prior the start of work.


    Yes. All new installation work is covered by a 6 year warranty. As a Fully Approved contractor registered with NICEIC you are also covered under their Platinum Promise. You can find more details on this extensive cover by clicking HERE.
